How we handle your vote

Written for people in Canada, in the spirit of PIPEDA: why we collect information, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how to withdraw consent. Legal entity details below are placeholders for the owner to fill in.

Who we are

Overcast is an exploration of a private Trackman golf club in East Vancouver. Until a legal entity is registered, the operator is [Legal name], reachable at [privacy contact email]. Mailing address: [Mailing address].

What we collect and why

We collect your name and email to confirm your vote and contact you if this idea moves forward. Optional fields (neighbourhood, how often you play, price range, filming habits, social handle, follower range) help us understand demand. We also store referral and campaign data (UTM parameters, referrer, and any ?ref= handle) to see which introductions brought people to the list.

Consent

Submitting the form is consent to store these answers and email you about Overcast. We use double opt-in: your vote is not confirmed until you click the link. We do not sell this list or use it for unrelated marketing.

Retention

We keep interest records until this exploration ends or you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Confirmation tokens expire after 48 hours. Spam and rate-limit logs are kept only as long as needed to protect the form.

Processors

Hosting and the database may run on Vercel and Neon, or another Postgres host. Confirmation emails are sent with Resend when those keys are configured. Spam protection may use Cloudflare Turnstile. Rate limiting may use Upstash Redis. Each processor sees only what that service needs.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent and request deletion. Email [privacy contact email]. We will respond as promptly as we can.
